CPM Machine Information and Insurance Guidelines.

In general, CPM Machines are a covered benefit for 21 days from most insurance companies if the diagnosis is a total knee replacement. If the diagnosis is anything other than a total knee replacement the CPM Machines are typically not covered and are considered experimental/investigational.

Some insurance companies allow for more coverage beyond a total knee replacement (Wellpoint, Priority Partners, EHP, USFHP, Tricare, Aetna).

We always follow the medical policy of your specific insurance company.

Pricing Information

If we feel based on your insurance companies’ medical policy that the CPM machine will not be covered, we charge up front. The rental cost is $450 for up to 30 days, which includes the rental of the CPM Machine and the soft good used with the CPM Machine.

We allow a 7-day grace period for the return of the CPM Machine following the initial 30-day period. Following the 7-day grace period, if the CPM Machine is not returned your credit card will be charged $14 per day until the CPM is returned.

All pickups/setups and returns are by appointment only. Shipping is available under certain conditions. Please email Shawn Smith at shawn@rsmedco.com.

We will still submit a claim to your insurance company for the rental of the CPM Machine. If they reimburse us, we will reimburse you minus any copay/deductible/coinsurance amounts as outlined on your Explanation of Benefits.
